Touch of Modern ToM How do advertise what you sell that you don't carry and never will Internet

 Little confused about advertising tactic by ToM... they advertise a link they purchase space from on websites to link you to their site that doesn't sell the product that's in the links image... and they never will sell the product as I found out later after contacting them...however. I found a beautiful watch that i was interested in purchasing and linked to the site only to never find it as many months that I kept going back. I did a little research and found that the watch they have an image on their ad is a - Urwerk UR-1001 Zeit Device Pocket Watch. Only 8 watches were made world wide and sell for over 400,00.00 usd. Not a watch you're find on a site that sells what they sell.

I contacted the site through support and micheal informed me in an email Michael (Touch of Modern) Apr 26, 14:40 PDT Hello, Thank you for contacting us! We used to advertise with that item. We in customer service, roughly a year back, informed our marketing team that this was deceptive advertising and requested that our marketing team remove the ad. I sincerely hope that you did not see that ad recently. Is that the case? Now, it would be one thing if we featured the event at one point and removed the item from our ads. Yet the ad is still being placed on website locally and nationally, Fox News to clarify one of the site.

As of 05/10/ 2017. Im not sure what's to think but I got an email stating that the issues was closed. I hope that they resolve this issue because it makes me very hesitant to order from them although I have read good things about them I think the ad is disengenuos (sp?)
