Truck repossessed without a phone call/certified letter nothing. Unscrupulous behavior from a Corporation that I thought was top of the line. I never knew anything was wrong.
I called the police to report the vehicle stolen; they told me what happened.
Called their customer service number, this rep started saying all the payments that were missing, retracted those words when found those payments, plus late fees sent. Was told they were sending back my July payment because they can't repossess a vehicle and accept a payment.
They cashed this payment and a week after the repossession sent me a separate check though my original check posted to my account July 28. Lies! Offered to pay any possible outstanding payments until the situation straightened out. Was told to wait for the certified letter.
Was told they didn't have my address, though my phone number is listed in the telephone book, I was continually sending my payments by check, and though I had moved, sent them a change of address and the same with the post office and they repossessed my vehicle at my correct address.
Three weeks later, I received my first certified letter stating I could not reinstate and that I was 4 payments behind and should pay their buyout amount. Have cancelled checks from Oct 2002 to July 2003, and one payment was lost in the mail though sent April 2003.

To all my fellow consumers and Americans out there who have been subjected to unfair, abusive, deceptive, and unlawful business practices by Toyota Motor Credit Corporation/Lexus Financial Services, I offer the following information on where to file your consumer complaints and grievances against this abusive corporation.
Please do not wait to file your complaints. In order to prevent this large Corporation from promoting abusive practices against other consumers, one has to take action. Notify the regulatory authorities about your mistreatment.
I have had personal experience with Toyota Motor Credit Corporation where they have openly been engaged in accounting fraud, collections harassment, violations of credit reporting law (i.e. FCRA), and unlawful repossession.
Absolutely do not patronize any business, including financial service companies, that abuse you as a consumer.
It takes everyones involvment and participation to ensure accountability and integrity in the marketplace.
If you have been wronged, take immediate action and file your complaints today.
