They will tell you that you score is 727 in which is a Good score; But when you apply for a loan as I did your score will be a lot lower as they did to me, My score was 664 and you will be turned Down for the loan and or you will pay a High rate of Interest! Biggest Issue

AUTHOR: Mandy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 16, 2012

Just from looking at the reasons for the letter grades, I can tell you the biggest issue there is your credit cards. Those are the "revolving accounts" they are talking about. It looks like your credit cards are probably pretty close to their limits.

It also mentions collection activity. How recently were any accounts sent to collections? Are the balances paid off?

You need to pay off any outstanding collections and pay down your credit cards to 33% or less of their credit limits. If that hasn't brought your grades up to B's (after about thirty days), then only time will help you. Wait six months, then check it again.

Credit Scores

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 16, 2012

First off, if you read the score that TransUnion gave you..they also gave you a grade of "C".  This isn't High School where a "C" gets you by.  This is real life and a "C" is NOT a good "grade" and you are not living in reality if you thought in any way that would give you the best(or even good) rates.  It looks like you have severe credit issues and would not have qualified for a good rate.   As an FYI most "regular" credit cards would probably want what TransUnion would consider an "A" or high "B" rating.

It appears that you are not really aware of how Credit Scores work.  There is NO universal credit score. The closest if probably the FICO score, with Vantage being a distant second.  Since a credit score calculation is proprietary to the company, there are dozens of other scoring models as well.  These are generally lumped under the term FAKO Scores(for Fake FICO).  These scores are not interchangeable with a FICO score.  So depending on exactly what scoring model the company used, I would bet that the 664 would be considered about a "C" as well.

What these scores are good for is showing you a trend from one report to another.  They also allow you to see your report which lets you know what you need to work on, and just from what you have shown it looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, and looking for new credit may not be the best idea right now.
