I contacted this company on the recomendation of a friend and looked at thier inventory. I made contact with the company and inquired about two vehicles. I was informed that the one was in better shape and condition then the other and I was persuaded to choose one over another. So figuring the gentleman knew something I did not, and was really looking out for me, I went with his recomendation. I picked up the vehicle and was told that they replace parts if they are even close to needing replaced, that it was easier and better for the image of the company, and if I have any issues within the 36 days they would find a garage for me to get it repaired at. This impressed me, the openess and honesty and the commitment to satisfaction. The drive home I notice a sound or couple of sounds. I take it in to a garage and they tell me what it is and Yes Trend okayed the work and it was fixed. The mechanic being thourough checks out the vehicle and calls me and informs me that there are issues that should never have passed a safety, issues that make it unsafe and could have caused me to get hurt. There were things unethical and were diliberetly done and overlookd that never should have been. I am waiting to see what happens....will update this once I know.

Well, got a response from them finally. They will not pay for the tailgate lock I paid for or the tonneau cover and even tried to say it was not there. If it was not they should be looking at either the bailiff or the tow company as it was there when they took it. I have recorded all the calls I made fo them and all emails I saved, I would recomend not dealing with them, and to save yourself, unless your going to ship it over seas or just use parts iff of it and then return it.... I started a facebook page about thisplace and others people know about and am amazed at how many people have contacted me about Trend some from dealing with the financial side, some from the repo sale side, and bussiness who dealt with them and never got paid.... Eric the owner is known to use the company for his own personal agenda, uses one department to "screw" over customers he has issues with. This comes from a Current employee that contacted me, the employee also said that they have diliberetly approved people they knew could not afford the vehicle. They have also forwarded me an inner office coomunication regarding me and it was not flatering and from Eric... Just trying to figure out how to load it here for all to see. I thank you "Karen" how you got it is beyond me and I dont care but thank you....
I have a newer truck, less milage and came with true customer service, to the point I took it to the local dealer who said an issue passes but they would have changed it cause it was so close, and the dealer I bought from said to change it and paid for it. They also called me to ask how things were and if i had any issues. The finance company accepted me dispite Trends report and said not first time they heard negative issues about them, and I got a better rate abd it is through my bank... I will tell everyone before dealing with Trend at super high interest rates, check your credit and deal with your bank, or ask the dealer where your buying to submitt it to other places also and see which place gives you the best interest rate... I have told many through the site and a few have been surprised at who accepted them and at a lower rate. Most dealers will tell you they use them as last resort because they forms are confusing and the customer service for them is just as bad. Also, if you ask a lot of dealers will in lude the deposit in the purchase price so you dont have to hand over 2500 to Trend to get the car, but infact maybe 200-500.
This company does not care about their customers or their families, and the papers they give you as their promise to you is not worth the ink they used to print it. They did not do one thing for us on that paper for either vehicle except take our money for nothing....

Today I recieved the $66 that I was owed for the radio activation, I am thankful formthis money, hopefully the rest of the monies owed will come, Tailgate handle, Tonneau cover and deposit. I have left another message for the owner but wont keep my hopes up for a return call as I have never got one yet, but must write that I did get the refund for the radio

So, I decided to go through with the complaints and made complanits to MTO, OMVIC, BBB, College of Trades, and I have just been put in contact with a organization that handles Ethics and Companies, and another that deals with financial lenders and will be filling my complaints with them also.
Since my last post, the Owner and Son, Eric decided to break the contract and repo'd my truck. His paralegal could not give me a clause I breached, even when asked several times but did say in an email he was mad because I filled complaints. The compnay then blocks my email addy from the paralegal because and this is my opinion, she is telling me more than Eric (COO) wanted her to... So thrn my next contact is Steve a Baillif with thr company, the head Bailiff, and I must say he is pleasent to deal with, but do not knkw if he was sincear or just another s****.>
Now Eric (COO) and his Dad (CEO) have blocked my email on Steves account also, because either he told me to much or because he questioned the COO and CEO about my file and knows they bullshitted him, and are acting unethical, something you would think in the financial world would be extreamely important........
I asked Steve to go to Eric and his Dad (Owners) and explain my position, and since day one of my complaints, everyone in the company of Trend had said I should walk away. So I asked if I walked away and removed my online complaints and complaints with the different organizations would they then return my monies and reimbursse me for the items they said they would. I explain it is Christmas and I have a handicap child and a truck is needed to get to appointments and such and I would have to buy another truck because of his chair and would have deposits and fees and such and without this money returned to me which I am fully entittled to, Christmas would not be possible for my Children 5 and 12, and I do not mean it would be a smaller Christmas but I do not know where the Santa gift would come from, or the meal..... I humbled myself and as much as I know it is my legal right to file complaints, to help others would cancell everything and even write a pleasent review about me getting my monies back especially at Christmas. Steve tells me he will speak to Eric and I speak to Steve right after he hangs up from talking to Eric and Steve told me in not so many words that Eric and his father do not give a "s**t" about Christmas for my Children, he is not going to give me nothing back and I can sue him if I want but it would take forever and tons of money to get my money that I am entittled to.
This is like David and Golieth, I thought those days of heartless companies were done, I honestly had fauith in our financial lending sector and never a day in my life thought an owner would be like this. I wonder if he has children, and what he would feel like, never mind the children, Christmas morning seeing their sad faces cause there is nothing there. I hope he has a Mery Christmas and I also hope that Karma oneday finds him and he has to explain to his Chrildren something that will break their hearts.
If anyone wants to see my contract, just post your emall address and I will gladely send it to you. I do have a friend whomis an IT guy who is working on a site where I can post the contract, and the emails with the promises, and from the start in luding from the guy they fired Derek, and the others I never even met and the voice calls I have recorded. I am hopingnit wont come to this, that Eric and his dad (COO and CEO) look back and realize that they are not just hurting me but they are also hurting two children, all because they are not happy because I filled a complaint, something that is ever Canadians right.....
i hope my children will not be affected because Eric has an issue with someone performing their legal rights.... Or is he going to be the Grinch.
I will update more as it becomes available, and if they do not see how they arebwrong, the Imwill post the addy for the emails and such...

so, in speaking to the paralegal at Trend, it is agreed that they would pay for the wheel seal and labour and I would have to cover the rest, even though this is not proper, it is better then sending it back and it costing me to go get it again, or them deciding they have to much in it and want to raise the price. So I call the garage to book it in and am informed they backed out of the agreement and I am stuck for the entire bill.
You would think that at some point this company would keep one promise made, when I picked it up I was told, I was welcomed to take it to my garage as when they suspect something is going they replace it without question, and if my mechanic finds something, they would find a local garage for me and get it fixed. That did not happen, they give you a peice of paper that says they recommend you take it to your mechanic and have it checked over and they will work with you to get any issue fixed, that does not happen, sales people, managers and even people in legal say things and make agreements and dont follow through on that either. Their so.ution is we will take it back, and maybe it is not the right vehicle for you now. What about just doing what you say your going to. Or what the customer is told when picking up the vehicle, or any agreements made after. Ill do what I agreed to and make every payment and maintain the vehicle in great working order. As for where I took it, it is a reputable garage, not some back yard mechanic or a new shop even and someone who would not pass a car unless it passed 100%. The other thing they suggested is have the garage who did the safety look at it again, like anyone would feel comfirtable with that, they overlooked things, no other mechanic would, and as any mechanic will tell you, they would not miss a backing plate, as when you take the tires off to check the brakes, it is something you would notice for sure, same as the enrake shoe not supported, or a wheel seal leaking. Maybe just maybe he might miss a wheel bearing gone, but nkt the others, so I would worry he would either nit fix it properly or cause other damage, again do not understand why not a reputable garage I choose and feel comfortable with, or a mutal place like the dealer. Or national chain place.
I guess I would have hoped for better erhics with a place that sell and finances their own repo's. And other bussiness ventures they are in.
