Tripres.com - Prestige Travel Charged Me $100 To Cancel My Reservation That I Made One Day Earlier Tripres.com is not worth the risk. Las Vegas Nevada
*UPDATE Employee: Cancellation policy clearly disclosed prior to any purchase.
I made a Las Vegas reservation 3 months in advance and cancelled 2 days later. Tripres.com charged me $50 per person (for 2 people) to cancel the reservation even though it was for one room. I will never use them again and would not reccomend them to anyone.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Cancellation policy clearly disclosed prior to any purchase.
AUTHOR: Ccm - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, June 24, 2009
I think that it is important to clarify the situation that this customer is complaining about. On every call or online booking that is made with Tripres our cancellation policy is clearly disclosed prior to any purchase being made. Our policy is that if a reservation is cancelled more than 14 days from check-in there will be a cancellation fee of $50 per person. The person filing this complaint was given the information whether it be via a live operator (calls recorded) or on our website which displays the policy in plain English in more that two sections of the screen and requires that the purchaser click to accept the terms. What happens, in general, is that people book their trip and do not read the terms or do not anticipate needing to cancel so they disregard them. This is not an issue that the company can control. As a consumer you should always take into consideration a worst case scenario and weigh your options prior to agreeing to any terms regardless of what they are. Our policy is clearly disclosed and allows us to have access to better rates than most other online websites. Tripres in no way takes advantage of anyone. Everything is clearly disclosed and agreed to before any creditcard is charged. This would appear to be a situation where the person filing the complaint was trying to get around the cancellation fees and was unsuccessful and is attempting to place a negative ad about the company without acknowledging that they were given and accepted the terms.
