I received an email reporting a credit change to my account. This was the first I had received after having subscribed for a month. I logged on to my account but was unable to find the reported change to my credit status.
I called the toll free customer service number. The agent asked for my social security or account receipt number. He spoke in broken English. He identified himself by name but his name was not recognizable in any way.
I explained my problem & the agent attempted to guide me so I could locate the change to my credit status on the web site. I followed his instructions as best I could but his accent was so bad I could barely understand only about every third or fourth word. I asked to speak to a supervisor & as politely as I could, I requested somebody who could speak better English. He apologized but advised nobody else was available. I said I was sorry too and hung up.
I then tried to cancel my subscription online at:
https://www.freecreditprofile.com/cancel
The cancellation web address was provided by a recorded message when dialing the customer service number: 800-493-2329
However, upon entering the cancellation form online, you receive a message that it cannot be completed & you must call 888-493-2392
Upon calling the latter number, you get either the same or another agent who speaks barely understandable English. However, I was able to complete the cancellation & the agent gave me a cancellation number to confirm.
Enough said? Your subscription to TrueCredit is paying TrueCredit to allow their customer service agents to practice their English at your expense.
