Turntable Basics Avoid like the plague; rip off! St Paul, Minnesota
*REBUTTAL Owner of company: This belt was backordered and has been shipped
*Author of original report: Avoid like the plague:CORRECTION
Purchased a belt for my turntable. Credit card charged immediately. No belt has shown up after almost three weeks. Don't expect any to appear. Scam!! Company has not telephone I could find and does not respond to email request for information on order. Am trying to recoup cost from credit card company. Lucky for me it was a small item. Beware if you want any of the higher price products. You will lose more. There has to be a way to shut this place down.

This belt was backordered and has been shipped

Turntable Basics has served more than 50,000 customers in the last 12+ years. I stock more than 300 products and from time to time, some items are backordered. In the past, when orders are backed up and production, packaging and shipping all need to completed, email has been allowed to fall by the wayside. This is a one person operation, and there usually are not enough hours in the day to remain caught up on daily and long-term business tasks, particularly during times when the house or the car have required extensive repairs. I would like to convey my most sincere apologies for this lapse in judgment. Customer communications has been moved to the top of each day's priority list.

After a two week delay the item I ordered came in the mail. So an apology is in order. Turntable Basics delivered.
Had assumed based on the other comments that I had gotten the same ripoff as others who had posted. This was not the case. Communications by company need to be improved however, and this might eliminate negative reactions.
