I recently bought a used car from Tylors. The best thing about this place are the salesmen, they are very good at their jobs! However, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!
They told me they would fix whatever the problem was with the Check Engine Light, they lied. They reset it so it went off, but it came back on the next day! When I took the car to my trustworthy neighborhood mechanic for the check engine light, they had a laundry list of other things that were wrong with the car to the tune of $1800. The car wasn't such a "great deal" after that!!
Make sure you don't buy "As Is" and get them to write in a warranty clause for you to get the car checked out! There were problems that only a mechanic looking at the car would find. Actually just stay away from this place! I made the mistake of trusting these guys and now I'm paying the price!

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company
We have literally thousands of satisfied customers

First off i am the co owner of Tylor's blue ridge auto sales. We sell wholesale to the public. What does that mean you ask? We sell vehicles at below retail cost to the public, every vehicle on our lot is priced well below Kelly blue book and NADA retail pricing. We sell cars to people all over Virginia, Maryland, D.C., pennsylvania, new york and several other states. People drive from all over for our selection and prices and service.
I would like to go over the particulars of this sale except that the person fails to identify who they are. At the top of the claim it says the file was posted by Lois, yet it is signed by Leslie? Therefore i can not even be sure who this person is much less if they are a true legit customer of ours.
It is true we sell cars as is, people do sign paperwork agreeing to this, not cause we are trying to sell bad cars but cause we sell used cars and no one can predict the future. We offer several warranty's on our vehicles and even sell them to the customer at our cost with no mark up as a service to our customers.
I have learned in my many years in this business that no matter what you do some people are never happy and always want more. We do our best to satisfy every customer within reason, at the end of the day just like anyone else in the world we can only do so much (which is still more than other dealers will do).
If this person is willing to post their correct name and the vehicle purchased i will be more than willing to share the details of the transaction and any and all services that were offered, and/or performed, along with the savings this person recieved. We do let people take cars to theior mechanics all the time to have the vehicle checked out as well as doing price comparisons on repairs with other local mechanics we work with to make sure they are recieving a fair estimate.

"Make sure you don't buy "As Is" and get them to write in a warranty clause for you to get the car checked out!"
You're on the right track. Unfortunately, no car lot is going to agree to any of the above. What you actually need to do is (BEFORE buying) take the car to a reputable mechanic and have it inspected. It may cost you $100 or so, but will be worth it in the long run. Also, since most used car purchases require you to sign that you're buying "as is", you should never buy a car that has anything wrong with it (like a check engine light on). Why do people insist on buying broken cars "as is" and then expect the dealer to fix them later? It's not logical.
