U-store-it entered my rented space and took my things, then re-rented to someone else ripoff Boynton Beach Florida

When I moved my things out, I still had 1 week left paid-up rent. I told them in the office I was not finished moving out yet, and that my sister would be by the space within the week before the rent period was up, to get the rest of my things. I was giving them to her.

They took the two phone numbers I gave them, mine and hers if they had a problem. They said they understood I left the unit unlocked. I said if any other customers go in I would risk it, but felt it would be safe they said yes, most likely. Within 2 days the managers themselves took my several of my things. They said I abandoned them, even though they knew I did not abandon. They never called me or my sister to ask about it, they also re-rented when my rent period was not even over yet.

They said if I left it unlocked they could take what ever they wanted and they did admit they took my things, all except my sofa. They said they just took my old looking things. My sister went to the unit and just the sofa was there but someone elses things were also there as the unit was re-rented, but still no lock on it. They would not satisfy me, and continue to say I abandoned it even though they were well informed, and left with phone numbers they never used as well as all details about the things being removed before the end of the paid up rent, and by who.
