Uhaul Storage let my lock be broken off and items were stolen, no security at all. May be inside job. Burlington New Jersey

I paid off my storage unit and went to pick up my things when I notice my lock was gone and replaced with a uhaul sold lock. I complained to the manager on site and she didnt care for my problem and said she could do nothing. She said I must of changed the lock or something. I think I would know if I changed my lock, like duh. So I told her i had to get in my unit because i had truck ready to go get my things. She finally called someone to cut the lock that was there off.

The guy drilled the locked and then noticed that it wasnt even locked. Someone must of broke my master lock off and left that uhaul lock unlocked on my unit. Its funny how the lock that was left on my unit is easy to get by an employee because they are sold in the office. When i opened my unit it seemed everything was there, but i then noticed i was missing some items. I left three items in unit that could not fit in my truck and came back four days later to get them and also report my missing items.

When i reported the missing items the manager showed no concern and pretty much said your screwed cause you didnt get insurance. I then told uhaul corporate they did nothing but forward my complaint back to the storage site . I was then contacted through email by a uhaul manager and they said i left my unit unlocked and it was my fault.

The only time my unit was unlocked was the three days that i left the three items that didnt fit in my truck. And those items were there when i picked them up. Uhaul shows no customer service and has no kind of security on site. dont be fooled, there cameras dont record the storage unit doors only certain areas, what a great place to leave your valuables. never again. I paid over 2000 to theses people in my lifetime, i am done!
