I bought a puppy from Starmye on June 28 2008 his Kidneys failed him on Jan 1 2009, they state that they have a health warranty but after sending them all vet records for my dog to maybe work a deal out withh them to get another dog they have now stopped responding to any emails or phone calls.

Once I googled ultimate puppies and have been reading all the reports on them I have been sick to my stomach and have been crying ever since. I feel I got a sick dog and to think they are a puppy mill makes me sick to my stomach. I always felt I didn't get the dog I sent money for because his picture never really looked the same but I loved him anyway.

I feel for anyone who has had a bad experience with them because she has given me the run around saying she would talk to her husband and get back with me which they never have and now they are not returning my husbands phone calls. We lost our angel on Jan 1 2009 and to think they don't want to help us makes me sick.

Please no one buy a dog from them and if they are a puppy mill they must be stopped I would hate for anyone to go through what me and my husband have because me and my husband feel like we lost our child that day. I now feel we will not ever hear back from them my dog was a sick dog and they acted like oh gosh this has never happened before but apparently it has. Their warranty on dogs is a joke and it means nothing. Please DO NOT buy a dog from them.

Please clarify this situation. Buyers so often omit important information in their complaints. Since two of the most common reasons for kidney failure are old age, and ingestion of a toxic substance, here is how your complaint might read to those who are 'in the know'.- My puppy ate something it shouldn't have, it's kidney's failed and it passed away. I tried to get the breeder to give me another dog for cheap or for free, and they wouldn't do that after reading my records. So now I'm mad. And I went on-line and read some similar situations, so it must be their fault. -
Whether or not a contract is a joke, doesn't change matters once you have already signed it. That needs to be taken into consideration BEFORE you agree to it and purchase a pet. And once it's done, the buyer needs to follow the terms and conditions and obligations THEY agreed to, and not just expect the seller to. When did your puppy begin to show signs of a problem? When did you go to the vet? What tests were run? What was the actual diagnosis? What caused the kidneys to fail? When did you notify the breeder of a problem, immediately, or after the fact? We need to keep our breeder's informed in the case of a problem, and follow our contracts to the letter if we expect the same from them. Was a necropsy run with a difinitive cause of death found? What made you feel like you were sold a sick dog? You're puppy didn't arrive with any major issues according to you. Was it when your puppy became ill, or after you googled similar complaints? Was there a diagnosis within 6 months? Was it verified by two veterinarians agreed on by both you and the breeder? Clearly you didn't return the live puppy you originally recieved with the registration papers, which is the condition for a replacement in the contract I'm looking at on their site. I am just trying to clarify the situation, and I try to turn these ROR's into true learning experiences. I am very sorry for your loss.
