Unimweb ripoff - trying to get me to spend an additional $9790 after what I already purchased is no good fraudulent ripoff business Salt Lake City, Boca Raton Utah, Florida .....

I atttended a seminar put on by Unimweb in Sept of 2002 with hopes of starting a turnkey website business that was going to generate lots of business 27/7 with little effort on my part. I had to sign up for a merchant account, web hosting and some other monthly fee withdrawl that night to get the substantial discount. I am being billed by Innovative Merchant Services for $20 a month and can't get out of the contract by simply cancelling - I have to pay a cancellation fee of $399 to get out of this situation. I was recenly approached by "Chad" at Unimweb to upgrade my services and sell websites on my website.

After being screened and "selectively" being passed onto the next screener (Tony Barlow), I once again made it past to the final "screener" (aka. closer) and he told me I could make upwards of $3000-$4000 a month once I made my initial investment of $9790 - this fee provided me with the folling "unlimited amounts of websites, 100,000 banner ads, a minimum of 2,000 guaranteed hits to my website which will give me the sales of $3000/month from the start, links to online auctions (ie. ebay) and a binder, video and cd's of a tool kit on how to make it all work". I kept asking if I could see an example of a successful website that was producing these types of returns - of course to no avail.

I was also promised 1 year of one on one coaching via telephone, fax and email, this would be by scheduled appointments weekly in the beginning and then as needed once my website was up and running. After telling "Ken Nelson" that I wanted to do some research on the company to make sure I felt like it was legit, I came across this website stating that almost the same exact thing had happened to many others with companies of different names, but essentially, the same game (Usight, Bring it Home, Liberty Vending, CMG, Liberty Vending, Marketing Solutions United and others).

I am supposed to call Ken back tomorrow and let him know what I want to do. He says all I need is the drive and motivation and they will set me up with the rest - well, I don't think so. I asked if there were any lawsuits against the company and he was very vague and when I said I wanted to do research, he said that there were lots of false things on the Internet - that is what made me the most suspicious. I am convinced that this is just another scam company and that I have been scammed out of the money that the merchant account has been taking out of my checking account monthly and I need to find out how to get out of this mess. If anyone else knows of accusations on Unimweb, please post and contact me. Has anyone made money in any of these deals?

Yikes!!! Help - Thanks.

Unimweb ripoff - trying to get me to spend an additional $9790 after what I already purchased is no good fraudulent ripoff business Salt Lake City Utah and/or Boca Raton, Florida .....

Since then I have been billed $29.95 a month, $20.00 a month, and another $10 a month for all these services I'm not using.
