The letter I received specifically displayed a platinum visa or mastercard with a credit limit of $10,000 I don't think that's people being naive. I think that is company committing fraud. It also states that the $37 would be refunded once you spend. There was no fine print stating it was for a shopping catalog or at least that is what I am reading from them at this moment.

If you would have taken time to thoroughly check out what was being offered, you would have discovered that it is not an actual "credit card".
It is nothing more than catalog shopping..
And, to make it worse, you have to pay a deposit which is equal to the cost of the item being "financed", and they only finance the markup on the item!
If people would simply pay attention and use common sense, they would not get ripped off.
Common sense would tell you that no one is just going to send out a $10,000 credit card to any yahoo that sends in $37!
Common sense.
Get some.
