Unique Van Lines Quality Relocation Services The worst experience in my opinion. Miami Florida

The Worst Experience Ever - 

My unfortunate experience with Unique Van Lines began May 16th when I contracted with Alliance Moving Services for a move from Overland Park, Ks. to Venice Florida.  Alliance Moving Services subcontracted (without my knowledge ) to Unique Van Lines in Miami who have terrible reviews all over the internet.   Unique Van Lines arrived at the agreed upon date at my home, loaded a box truck and told me they would arrive in Florida at my home on June 6th.  When they finally arrived on June 21st, after dozens of documented phone calls between myself and Alliance and Unique Van Lines, it turned out that my belongings had been put in storage in the Kansas City area and then loaded onto 2 semi trucks.  None of this was communicated to me in any of my phone calls.  Unique Van Lines representatives lied on numerous occassions ( all documented ) & did not return phone calls ( all documented )

The first semi trailor arrived with 12 items belonging to me.  The driver told me he didn't even work for Unique Van Lines !  The second semi arrived the next day.  The delivery driver told me that the driver who left the Kansas City area with this semi walked off the job half way through, abandoning the truck.  Throughout my many many phone calls to Unique Van Lines at no time did they disclose this information to me.  Upon delivery, we checked off all item numbers as they were unloaded.  There were 13 boxes without numbers on them.  Taking this into consideration I was still missing 13 boxes.  Also, 5 large pieces of antique wood furntiture was damaged and 2 boxes of crystal glassware broken, the boxes almost completely crushed.  The driver did not have a tool box to put together any of the pieces.  They damaged the framing around the front door, cracking it. They did not have a copy of the delivery manifest for me.  Fortunately, I took  photos of the paperwork with my camera and the documentation all signed and verified by the driver confirming the missing items.  

I have now jumped through every hoop asked of me by Moving Claims.net at great expense to me to send certified documention along with labeled photographs and estimates to repair the damaged furniture. i have been very thourough and available to talk to any representatives for any clarification. It seems their only function is to receive the information and pass it along to Unique Van Lines.  

Now, after all of the "misinformation & in my opinion blatant lies"  Unique Van Lines has only offered to pay out $71 for over $5,000 in loss and damages.  Even with the standard allowance of .60 per pound per my signed contract it  would come out to near $1000

So, I still sit here after 10 months of being run around in the hopes, I think by Unique Van Lines, that I would simply get fed up and give up.  My next recourse will be to contact the Miami Call For Action team at ABC news as well as file in small claims court.
