United American Insurance Company, American Income Insurance, Torchmark Corporation Orlando Florida

Be very careful with Tourchmark companies. I just got their e-mail too, but decided to look on them before calling. I could not find much on United American Insurance, but got Information about Torchmark and about its subsidiaries. Boy, Am I glad a searched here. Thanks to all of you who reported these scams. I just want to add the name of a subsidiaries to the aka list. Apparently Torchmark companies have very dubious hiring practices, where they do not fully disclose that it is a door-to-door sales position. Also I read some reports stating that you have to pay your trainings, etc. In all, it might not be what you think it is, nor what you are looking for. Look for reports on American Income Insurance or on Torchmark Corporation Jaime Fort Pierce, Florida

#13 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Garbage as usual - half-truths and outright lies that are being told to your employees, union members, and even the general public that create the huge turnover in agents at your companies

AUTHOR: Richard - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, June 25, 2006

Jim,

You are so conditioned by the "scripted response system" AIL/NILCO uses to reply to questions / criticisms that you cannot resist shading even the basic facts to make you seem more successful that you really are. It is this atmosphere of half-truths and outright lies that are being told to your employees, union members, and even the general public that create the huge turnover in agents at your companies. I could break down your response chapter and verse to demonstrate all the crap you are writing, but I have a life to get to. I will give the readers however, just one example: When you say you are, yet again, sitting on top of the largest agency category within the company what exactly do you mean. It seems like you are implying that you are the Largest agency, which you know is false. (Altig is more than triple your size.) Even Jatoft-Foti has more in ytd sales. You may me saying that you have the most first year Sales (false again) or even the highest net to gross not even close. Your 103% of standard is only above 100% ytd because you hada strong month in may and is not even in the ballpark with the top result of over 200% with Bill Jennings. Maybe you are sitting on top with the highest turnover of agents in the company.

#12 UPDATE Employee

Jim Bianchi, the company, responds

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 25, 2006

For the first, and ONLY time, I want to address this web site with one specific purpose. This is Jim Bianchi and I am , indeed, a manager at National Income. Since this is the first and only post I will make, please know that subsequent posts will be further creative fiction of disgruntled individuals posing either as myself or other company workers. I will waste no more of my time reading or responding in any manner.

Although I was made aware of this years ago, I never was moved to read or respond. There was little concern on my part because anyone educated or truly in the know could see through the distortion. After all, we have nothing to prove to our thousands upon thousands of satisfied policy holders, the more than 150 people who work with us, or even the candidates who seek work and interview with us. All three classes of people I just mentioned are educated on the full spectrum of product, service, and work which we successfully offer.

As such, there was little concern on my part about the libel and slander because it is rather easy for the people I mention above to read through the lies.

Recently, however, the attacks have become rather personal and that is the reason for my response. When a friend of mine asked if I was aware of this site, expressing concern for my safety, I felt it was time to address it for those were yet to be enlightened as to what was going on here.

Let me first point out some facts which should be rather obvious. There are roughly three individuals who are responsible for the posts on this site. They are unhappy individuals who no longer work with National Income. They create posts under multiple names such as Jimmie, Tim, and Homero. One of them even goes to the public library to make his posts in an attempt to stay hidden. (Yes, Tom and Ron.....your ISP's have been, and are being tracked)

If you are an unbiased individual, who for some unknown reason chooses this site as a source to discern information, I suggest you call me at my personal phone number, which has, in fact, been posted. I will point out each person's name in the phone book so that you might 1) go meet them, 2) speak to them in person and 3) actually see the people you are dealing with to judge for your yourself. It is rather easy to make false posts over the internet; even easier to make them anonymously.

If you are interested in fact, meet the involved parties, and things should be rather clear.

If, however, you are the type of person in search of a negative, looking for a reason to fail, you will find one if you reach far enough.

As for irrefutable fact, our company has been serving families for over 50 years offering supplemental insurance. Our products are exceptional. We have over 40,000 active policy holders from our first five years in New York State. Within the highly regulated Insurance Industry, there is an unbiased and independent company whose sole role is to evaluate and rate insurance companies. National Income's rating has been A+ since it's inception. I suspect subsequent posts will suggest I contrived or somehow tricked the other 95% of insurance companies in the free world who do not receive such a rating.

If there is an interesting part of this post, I suspect this is it. Looking from the outside in, I suppose I can somewhat understand the reason for such disdain from these failed workers. I'll explain why. Within the sales division, the company offers two main positions: Outside Sales and Sales Management. The sales representatives visit customers and sell product and the managers train individuals and manage agency offices. National Income is indeed a unique company when it comes to opportunity and advancement. Unlike most companies, representatives control their destinies based on performance. There is no seniority, and little thought as to your gender or experience level. Performance is what counts.

Herein lies the problem.

Our company offers extremely lucrative positions to top performers and does an outstanding job advertising the fact that anyone can potentially achieve these high levels in both sales and management. The opportunity is offered to anyone. The company, stockholders, and customers benefit as representatives reach their goals. For those who achieve the highest of goals, the promotion is similar to that of a partner in a Law or accounting Firm. It is EARNED. And although anyone would take it if given to them, it is challenging and not for everyone.

Here is an example of what it can take to reach this level. I was hired five years ago and started in sales. Toward the end of my selling career, with over 2000 representatives nationwide, I was the #4 salesperson in the company. I then began focusing on training salespeople within management where I found my skill at training others to succeed was even stronger. By my 3rd year with the company, I was the #1 manager in the entire company and have maintained a similar level to this date.

This is very hard work. Ask any of my family or friends, and they will attest to the amount and level of work I have put in. Now back to the perceived ?problem?.... Please remember many people believe that they are entitled to things, that they should be given this, or handed that.

It is these same people whose performances do not stack up who find it easy to rationalize why they failed. The authors on this site are fine examples.

Now, here is the interesting thing. I am only one small success story in our NY office. Take this comparison to mind- my wife has worked as a CPA with a large Accounting Firm for TEN years, and, realistically, has one or two more years of service before she can potentially be considered for partner. Within our National Income Agency, in only 5 years, we have promoted 10 MGA managers (partners) who enjoy extreme levels of success. Better yet, we have nearly 140 other individuals at varied levels of sales and management whose earnings range from $40,000 to $90,000 annually. I find it hard to see the problem that hateful failures have found.

So, for those individuals with weak character, it is easier to point blame and create lies than it is to move on. It is a lousy part of some peoples human nature. It is childish and reminds me of things I witnessed as a teenager. Remember that girl or boy who was class valedictorian, lead cheerleader, head of the student body, and/ or voted most likely to succeed? Some of us paid little attention to those people and did our own things. Some of us gravitated around them and mixed in to enjoy the fruits. And then there were those few who, with hate, attacked in malice in hope to better themselves or knock others down. The difference here people, is that we are no longer in HIGH SCHOOL. It is time. Stop writing graffiti on the bathroom walls!

To me, the proof is often in the people. As I stated earlier, if you are LOOKING for something negative in anything you do, you will typically find it. Looking for a fight, you'll typically find one. If that is your particular nature, the go ahead and continue reading the multitude of posts which will follow mine in an attempt to distort. Or, meet the people involved in finding the negativity and everything will be clear to you.

Life works in funny ways sometimes. The motive of the people on this site is to limit the success of the company and keep others from working. I have personally witnessed the site enhance our agency by keeping naturally negative people away. In two cases, it actually helped me weed out cancers before they spread through my agency. And so, although it is annoying to waste my time here, it is good to know the Durhon Oldham Agency of National Income is, yet again, sitting on TOP of the largest agency category within the company and it is my honor to be a part of a Forbes Platinum 400 Company. I would ask any other coworkers to not dignify any further response to this nonsense. If you choose nt to read the bathroom graffiti, feel free to visit our official web site at www.NILICO.com, or American Income site at www.AILINS.com.

Update Warning to wake people up to increased sleezy merchandizers today preying on the gullible

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 04, 2006

I was contacted today by UA because my resume posted on a national job site. I went to the meeting, had the interview, etc.last year but they did not know I had a consulting business then that dealt in international investigations and due diligence work for development project matters; so I had many resources to contact (securities & insurance industry, law enforcement, banking & fraud investigators, etc.) to really get the meat on this organization before I invested my monies, time, energy working for them.

Remember, to "work" for UA, you are a "contractor", NOT and "employee"- BIG difference under IRS tax codes and how you will be expected to operate and report your income, pay quarterly tax payments, etc... You will be your own businessman and never does any liability you may cause ever go back to UA or any of their affiliate names or main company in this way...

We investigated them over a year ago, their background, people in charge, and the lawsuits against their top execs for suspicion of fraudulent insurance practices of a public traded company, and when we see names change like they seem to do regularly for subsidiaries of Torchmark, it is termed "building Chinese walls" in the legal realms., because one creates subsidiaries or other subsidiares to throw people off until the actual top tier facts are misconstrued and mired through many levels of subcontractors and you never really know who pulls the strings.

Remember about a year ago, ALL insurance companies were downgraded due to many reasons (caused huge financial troubles in investment markets for insurance related investments), so for UA to keep saying they have Top AAA rating is a lie !! They ARE NOT an insurance company who underwrites policies at all...

In the end, understand this, UA or any of Torchmark's other subsidiary names ARE NOT insurance companies in the normal sense. By this I mean, they are "re-sellers" of some other legally licensed and regulated insurance product provider's merchandise and products such as Mutual of Omaha, etc. They are a middleman and that is all they are, and they try to lure you into thinking you are working for an insurance company which you are not. If you want to work in insurance, my advice is apply properly to direct providers of insurance products as there are many out there (take assesment tests, get real interview, get hired under probation period and on a real base salary, etc. and grow from there as an employee of the actual insurance company itself who provided benefits)- not waste your time with a middleman (3rd party reseller)who re-shops and re-sells already existing priced products of a true insurance company. My God, every bank in America today also is into selling a myriad of various insurnace/inevstment products and have associations to the providers to do so as well.. THIS IS NOTHING NEW...

#5 UPDATE Employee

check your contract you are not an employee and you don't have a job, call it opportunity unlimited if you like..

AUTHOR: Duhron - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 02, 2005

You can say the same about selling $20 mops at the flea market.

You are nothing more than a 1099 self employeed captive agent that can be let go at any time with or without cause... Definately without any benefits!

Check your contract if your boss will give you a copy, I had to ask 5 times over several months.

If you get a copy read it, you will see the so-called bucket money won't pay a nickel for at least 180 days after parting ways.

Most ex contractors never get paid another penny. If you are there for two years and have $20,000 in your so-called bucket with their national retention rate of 67% remember you will get 20% of the 5% renewal after waiting your 180 days, and figuring in your next 33% ($6,600)of business that statistically will fall of leaving your bucket at $13,400 and 5% of that would be $670 and you would be entitled to 20% of that which is ($134). That would be split up monthly until your bucket get downs to $25 when they stop sending you checks because they are to small. If you take your $134 retirement account after waiting 180 days you would get $6.06 per month over the next 18 months until your total gets down to $25.00.

Did you think after your group interview that your bucket money would be overflowing with money all over the floors. Did you think you may need wheelbarrows or pick up trucks to carry it all to the bank?

Have you rethought that lately????

Wow what 401K plan that is.. Makes a 201K plan look GREAT!!!

What would you spend your $134 on?

Opportunity unlimited or NILICO (Negligent Integrity Life Insurance Company), or American Idiots Life (AIL).

Any way you cut it your 10 year term can be purchased for 12 times less by at least 5 different companies that are also rated A to A+ according to AM Best. Those ratings are based on whether or not the insurance company has the ability to pay when you pass on if you can still pay your premium. Their whole life is also way over priced and sold under a fake name of a funeral benefit.

Even a A- company still has to buy insurance before they can sell you insurance so if they sell too cheap your beneficiary still gets paid...

All insurance companies have to buy this type of insurance before selling you any.

When is the LAST time you heard of an insurance company of going broke?

Now they are being investigated for Blacklisting ex agents as well as money laundering.

I see it is always the managers trying to defend these scumbags..

Reason being is simple they need to hire new agents, in our area at least 4-6 per week. That is to keep up with the amount that quit last week.

Greed does some powerful things to stupid people, I've met many of them at convention at Bahamas!!!! We were the cream of the crop, I really pity the others.

Sleep good you GREEDY BASTAR*S

Ripoff employment offer?

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 02, 2005

I am a former employee of United American (UA) and a current agency manager for a company that represents UA and other insurance companies. Your comments are definitely misguided and I think you need a reality check. If you did any homework at all on UA, you would see that they have been an A+ rated insurance company for over thirty consecutive years and are one of the nation's largest providers of Medicare supplements for seniors. Where exactly did you expect to sell to seniors? A kiosk at the mall, or maybe sit in an office and wait on them to find you? I don't think so. If you want a sales "job", go to Wal-Mart.

If you want an "opportunity" to earn an unlimited income while providing some of the best insurance products on the market and truly improving people's lives, then you missed the boat by not following through.

Employment SCAM? What an idiot!

Also look for National Income, American Income, and Local 277 AFL-CIO

They are supposed to be a union company that lies like a rug. Do some research, their only goal is to hire more people, hope they sell their friends and relatives until they quit and collect the profits from the time they were on the books. 9% National Agent retention is what our SGA announced several times at the weekly cheerleading meetings when everyone is expected to clap their hands when others get the paycheck they earned. He alerted us to this site and we are all laughing now. It borders on a weird religious cult. The weak minded need to be reminded weekly what a grat non job you have as an independant contractor with no benefits other than a partial payment towards your health insurance if you sell enough.
