I contacted United Cash Loans online and borrowed 300.00 which was transferred into my account. A debit on my acct from them began on 8/31. They have been debiting my acct $90.00 every 2 weeks since. The most current was yesterday when they suddenly debited $75 and $50 on the same day. That is a total of $650. I do not know what to do to stop it. Thanks

Stephanie,

Was this one of those loan offers that flood your e-mail box with subjects like "Payday too far? Get cash in your account tomorrow"? Those "short-term" loans have insanely high interest rates. I had one before for $150. I paid it off the next week totaling $190, but if I hadn't, they would have taken $40 each pay period for like five pay periods. That money would have all went to "finance fees" rather than the actual loan. After the five withdrawls of $40, they would have started taking $90 ($40 for fees, $50 towards the loan) or they would have renewed it for 5 more withdrawls of $40 before they started taking out $90 payments. My guess is they have been taking out the finance fees and not anything toward the actual loan. They have also possibly been renewing it without your approval. Call them and ask them to clarify what your payments have gone towards and find out what the amount would be to pay off the loan so you don't keep getting the finance charges.

However, if this is a loan similiar to the ones from CashCall, you could be paying something like 99.25% interest which means you'll end up paying back WAAAAAY more than you borrowed.

You should have a copy of your loan terms. If you were not given a copy, they have violated the law.
