My family and I were approached by two men at our local Fry's grocery store. The offered us a family portrait package which included 1 10x13, 1 8x 10, 2 5x7, and some wallets for only &10 dollars plus $6 sitting fee for the whole family. Sounds good to be true? Well apparently it was so! My husband didn't want to do it because he didn't trust them. Boy, I should have listened to his gut. It was going to be our first family picture, since we haven't had a family picture since my youngest son was born. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment, which was scheduled there at the store. We were the last ones to take pictures for that day. Everything seemed fine, the photographer was friendly and was great with our two kids. She took her time with our poses and took extra pictures: We were there for about 30-40 minutes on August 24, 2007 and were scheduled to pick up our photos on September 7th. They called us and told us that we could pick up our pictures on the 5th. Then on September 5th, they called us again and told us that we need to call the main office because our photos were never printed. I was upset! How could they not be printed?!
The costumer service (what a laugh) told us that every so often the printer tend to skip over some film. Lucky us! Then I was told that we should be receiving our pictures in the mail in two weeks with some extra photos for the inconvenience. Two weeks later and nothing. I stil gave them the benefit of doubt. I called again, and explained my situation. The lady told me that the pictures take 6-8 weeks to be printed and mailed out, not two weeks. The woman on the phoned then asked me if the lady that i had first spoken with was young or old? Anyhow, now I had to wait 6-8, a ridiculous amount of time for picture, just to even see them. Eight weeks later and still no pictures. I called again. This time the woman on the phone tells me that she has no idea what happened and that she will make sure to send out my 10x13 and it should arrive hopefully in two weeks. Well, I didn't just purchase a 10x13 portrait, I purchase a family package! She informs me that all they have in their system is a 10x13. Just another thing that is wrong with United Studios! I demanded answers and again they had none. It's been 10 weeks since we took our picture and we have yet to received them or even hear from them. I want my money and time back!
