I contacted the United Tax Group to help me with my tax situation and after paying them a total of $3000 they completely left me high and dry with absolutely NO services performed. I kept calling and emailing them with no response at all until finally their new company My Tax Help call answered their phone only to have their CEO Dean Druin to inform me that I was scammed out of my hard earned money and in order for me to get further assistance from his company I would have to pay an additional $6000!!!!! A grand total of $9000 to these companies that clearly have no intention on actually helping you resolve your tax issues. It's a COMPLETE SCAM DO NOT USE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES!!!

I've never done business with this person

AUTHOR: The Tax Doctor - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, May 07, 2014

I want to make it very clear that I have never done business with the author of this complaint.  Unfortunately this website is like a bathroom wall.  Anyone can write anything about whoever or whatever they want.  It doesn't matter if they are an actual client of the company they are writing about or not.

This person is obviously frustrated because the company she hired to represent her went out of business a few months ago. That company was United Tax Group.  They weren't trying to steal money from people.  They suffered significant financial difficulties which caused them to go bankrupt just like many other small businesses have had to do in the past few years due to our economy.  Keeping this in mind, I understand her frustration but WHY is she directing her frustration at me?  I had nothing to do with the company she hired nor did I have any previous knowledge of her case in any way, shape or form.  The only thing I'm guilty of is trying to help.

Apparently I had contacted this client shortly after United Tax Group went out of business.  I offered my services in an attempt to help her but she blew up at me when I told her how much it would cost.  She started yelling about how she already paid United Tax Group $3000 and she wasn't about to spend another penny for representation.  Again I understand her frustration but I didn't take her money.  The $3000 she spent with United Tax Group didn't go to me or my company. Am I expected to work for free?  I am in business to help people but I am a business and my services are not free.

If this is how it works I guess I can go into the car dealership down the street that I've never bought a car from and tell them "Hey I spent $20,000 on my last car, at a differnet dealership and it was a lemon so I expect this new car for free.  DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL?

I'm sorry the company she hired went out of business but not to the point where I'm going to represent this client for free. It should be illegal to write negative reviews about a company you've never done business with just because you're frustrated.

I have literally helped thousands of american taxpayers nationwide over the past 20 years and have received countless testimonials and thank you letters from those people.  Unfortunately people rarely go online to write a report about a company they're happy with but always do so when they are unhappy.

So breaking it down....in the past 20 years I've helped thousands of people.  There are a total of 3 reports written about me including the one I'm writing about now.

First complaint was a disgruntled employee of mine who went online pretending to be one of my clients and wrote a complaint.  If you read the rebuttals you'll see the REAL client took it upon himself to write a letter and got it notarized stating HE NEVER WROTE THE COMPLAINT. Yet Ripoffreport.com still keeps the complaint up.

The second complaint also has a rebuttal written from the original author where he sincerely apologized for ever writing the complaint in the first place and that he was happy to do business with me.  Again it was frustration that caused him to do so in the first place and he apologized for misdirecting his frustrations at me.

Now there's this third complaint from a person I've never done business with. Overall I'm very happy and proud of my track record.   Thousands of clients over 20 years and only 3 complaints.  Not even 1 of them is a legitimate complaint.  Unfortunately when people go on the internet to do their research  all they see are these 3 bogus complaints in big red letters from RipoffReport.com and rarely look beyond the big print.

I always urge prospective clients to do their due diligence before hiring me or any company.  It's an intelligent thing to do these days.  The whole idea behind hiring tax representation is so you don't have to worry about the IRS anymore.  If you're whole new worry is "Gee did hire the right company" ...then what's the point?  However when researching on the internet, be sure to look beyond the bold print to find the whole story.  Be sure the information you're obtaining is from a valid source.

Obviously if you're researching a company and there's hundreds of complaints, you can probably assume that's not a good company but don't miss out on valuable services or goods from a good company just because of a couple frustrated people didn't have anyone else to yell at. Read the whole story and get the whole truth.  If you want to know about me or my company you are welcome to visit www.MyTaxHelpMD.com where you'll find many thank you letters from REAL clients talking about how I helped them.  I will even provide you with the phone numbers to those clients who wrote those thank you letters so you can call them and see for yourself they are REAL.

If you're not happy with my service, I refund your money. It's that simple.  Dont' be fooled by a couple frustrated people writing on the internet as if it was a bathroom wall.  Do your due dilligence.  Make sure the information you've acquired is legitimate so you can make a sound business decision be comfortable doing so.

I just realized I misspelled the CEO's name who not only was responsible for the theft of my hard earned $3000 from United Tax Group but demanded I would habe to pay an additional $6000 to use his new company My Tax Help Md. His name is Dean Drouin and I urge anyone DO NOT use his "services" or attempt to do business with that crook.
