I signed up for a course at Universal Class on Crystal Therapy. You can take class for a certificate or for a non-certificate and I chose the latter. At first, the info seemed very organized and laid out well. There are written assignments given that leads you to explore the internet for related info and it was easy to see that the intructor had ripped off several sites directly-info, pictures and layout. The test proceedure is to parrot back the info in the chapter. The problem came when the automated score sheet showed answers wrong that directly contradicted the material given.
I wrote to the instructor for clarification as the info on the web-site tells you to do. (They post a fact sheet and #11 and 14 deals with teacher/student interaction). The instructor did not respond to my first three emails until I sent a fourth that questioned whether there was a teacher behind the course. The teacher finally responded with an email, not addressing the test questions, but to inform me I was not allowed to complete the course, nor was I allowed to take future courses from her at Universal Class.
When I contacted Universal Class, they informed me that because I was taking the class for a non-certificate, it was an audit only class and I wasn't entitled to any teacher interaction. That was not spelled out in the fact-sheet nor when I signed up for non-certificate. I wasn't offered a refund for termination nor did the school offer another class or anything to encourage customer satisfaction.
The school is cheap. I guess you get what you pay for.

Why oh Why

When you question someone about a test and answers why would you not want to respond? I am not here to judge but to question is this sound judgment not to understand what are how this could be resolved. 1st factor no comment after some attempts at asking a question to the teacher seems to me that a single comment would have removed this situation? After all in any type of field of business it does require a fair amount of common sense to understand it is always about customer service no?

The instructor has forwarded us the correspondence with this student regarding this issue. We do agree with the instructor's assessment that this student's emails were so rude and offensive and the instructor simply had no choice but to decline further communication with the student (this student was on the last lesson btw). We do stand behind our instructor and curriculum delivered, and we simply don't tolerate abusive and unprofessional behavior like this. Also, a refund is not appropriate when you've downloaded 100% of the course material over a 5 month period and then become abusive when you disagree with an exam question.
