Both I and a friend of mine used to be employed by Uniway of Greenville, and chose to leave the company because we beleived they were a fraud. Anyone who has been there for a "tour," (which they lure you in with free prizes on) would only see the clean side of the building, being the showroom. On the other side of the building it was a different story.
I don't know how it is now, but they used to let their employees smoke in their tele-marketing room, and Garry the Owner smoked in his office as well. It always seemed very dirty and smelly.
Now outside of the fact that the building, (other than the showroom, which was always very clean) being disgusting and a hazard to your health to be there, the entire set-up was fishy. Being an insider I was able to see on average how many people bought the membership, cancelled the membership, or unfortuantely weren't able to cancel, due to being past the three day mark. The salesmen would have meetings with the owner where he basically told them to sell the membership, no matter what they had to say to sell it.
I can't say that it's an entire rip-off to purchase this membership, but i can say, read your contract, make sure your planning on buying things such as furniture, appliances, or other major household items, and if you do decide to buy, because they tell you, you can only buy this today.... no time to think about it, go and check the catalog room out within the first three days, so you can make sure this is something your really going to want and use.

I have been employed by Uniway for over 8 years. I can agree with this person on the fact that our old building had seen better days. We are now located in a brand new building at the huge investment of over $1 million. The new showroom is absolutely stunning and is a true show piece for our entire company. there is of coure no smoking allowed in our new building. I would also agree with the fact that people should honestly consider thier future purchases before joining. When truthfully analyzed, I believe alsmost everyone who comes to uniway would benefit from a membership and save money which is what we are all about.
