U.S. OFFICE & INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY SCAM HARDSELL DECEITEFUL "FREE TRIAL" DISHONEST VAN NUYS, California

U.S. Office & Industrial Supply has a deceitful tactic of cold calling businesses and 'hard-selling' a 'free' trial of certain products (in the case of the shipping warehouse I work in, this was Clear Packing Tape). 

They will have a representative call and track down the purchaser of Industrial/Warehousing products at a business, then aggressively try to talk them into accepting a "trial sample" of some of their product to decide if a larger amount will be purchased.  In my experience the pitch man then handed off the phone to an "associate" (in an almost comically bungling manner, actually eliciting pity) who then took the shipping details.

They will then send a large amount of the product and follow up with an invoice with exhorbitant pricing (higher than agreed upon) and aggressively call to collect the payment.  In my 4 years with my current employer they have attempted this tactic twice; once on myself and now just recently the employee occupying the warehouse position I transferred from.

In both cases we refused payment and required U.S. Office & Industrial Supply to take the product back.  Don't be pulled in by this company, the deal sounds good and risk-free but they are deceiteful, dishonest, and just plain sleazy.
