USA Funds, contacted me about 20 times a day, I shut off my cell phone due to them constantly calling between 3am and 11pm. I finally answered a call to ask what it was all about. They claim I owe them money for a loan I never took out with them. They sent letters starting at 200k for student loans. They dropped it down to 65k, now it is at 46k and starting to go back up again. The phone call I finally took they threatened me several times to pay the amount in full or they will take me to court I told them to go ahead. They also threatened me that if I did not pay the amount in full they were going to send it to the credit reporting agency. Now, I have on my credit report 46+K that I owe USA Funds. I never took out any student loans with USA Funds, they have also sent illegal documentation to do a wage garnishment on my 15-20 hour a week minimum job. I ended up having to quit that job because I could not afford an illegal wage garnishment to my paycheck. They held my 2012 tax return which was desperately needed for food and bills, they refuse to return the money and never sent me any paperwork explaining any of this. I have been trying to get my money back still and to get them to take the "loan" off my credit report. They will not work with me and just keep harassing me and "falsely claiming" I have a loan outstanding with them. The government seems to not care what this company is doing and does not help in these situations. I was unemployed for 6 long years all during that time I was harassed nonstop by USA Funds, mind you I was exempt from any so called "collections" but what does it matter they still seem to be able to get away with all their illegal actions and stealing other people's money from tax returns not to mention screwing up their credit bad by false loans. Can’t afford an attorney, don’t know what to do anymore.

First of all I am in construction after being laid off the construction industry took a dive. Trying to find another job in the field was beyond difficult and many would agree. It must be very nice to be in an industry to never feel a dive in the economy. 2nd the I did fight the wage garnishment, but my stupid company already filed the garnishment causing me to have no paycheck for 4 weeks. So with already not having money for bills and food, I decided this was not worth working for free.
3rd attorney's where I live are greedy and there are no pro bono when it comes to an attorney. No I have not taken any student loans out - by the way have been fighting that also, but, again in the United States they don't seem to care when someone is being ripped off especially when it comes to the govenment making money. NO MATTER what the situation is you still have to have court orders to do what USA Funds have done, since the government back them trying to fight what they are doing is an uphill battle. So don't go ASSUMING you know the person is automatically running or avoiding paying their debt - it is not always black and white!

Did you in fact take out student loans that you DID NOT pay back?? If you still owe student loans then YOUR loan may have been purchased from the original company. YOUR loan would then belong to whichever company purchased it. IF you still owe money on your student loans then this tactic is expected.
Now if you DO NOT owe student loans anything then what they are doing is illegal and YOU NEED TO RETAIN A LWAYER!!!!!!!!
I do find it odd that you would quit a job instead of fighting the garneshment. That smacks of someone attempting to run from their responsibilities. Not employed for OVER 6 years kinda makes me think that you DO have loans out, but you either skipping out on them by someone giving you bad advice, or you just dont want to pay. Either way, you need to determine if this is ACTUAL loan you took out or if its identity fraud. If it is a actual loan, there is no statute of limitations on a debt owed.
FYI: EVERY LAWYER has to do whats called "Pro Bono" work. That means FOR FREE. You may see if your state bar association has a list of lawyers looking to do some pro bono work.
