THEY BANK ON YOU FORGETTING

I was hestitant to sign up for USA Grant Applications.org, or also known as Grant Guide, but I thought, for $25.00 maybe I can learn something. What I learned is this:

Online businesses are not subjected to the same guidelines and rules as brick and motar businesses according to my Chase Visa representitive. I not only paid $25.00 a month, but I was continuely billed for several months, about $250.00. The credit card I used, I pay online and don't use it at all, so for months the fee accumulated until I checked my paper bill. I was shocked and startled to find the fee had continued on a monthly basis.

There is no notification of such billing. When you explain that you were unaware of a continued contract, the customer service people will tell you that you did know when you signed up, and to go back to the website. They will let you know, that you are the idiot who knew what you were doing. Yes that's right, it's all your problem, and by you forgetting or not knowing, it's their win, they profit from your mistake.

The customer service people are aware they are RIPPING YOU OFF. So be prepared for highly aggressive people, they make their profit by people checking out their company, but then they will bill you monthly. I think most people forget that they will incur a monthly service bill for something they just wanted to try out.

The fact that the service makes it's money by billing you whether you use it or not, and that you most likely forgot that you were being billed is scary.

The gal refunded me for one month, I tried my best to explain my situation, however no mercy is there, because according to them they wouldn't make any money if they gave back the fee for people forgetting, or not knowing what they were getting into.

REMEMBER THEY BANK ON YOU FORGETTING YOU USED THEIR WEBSITE.

They bank on You Forgetting!

AUTHOR: Neecer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 03, 2011

They Bank on You Forgetting!!!  Boy isn't that the truth.  We looked into getting a grant at the end of last year.  The site "Grant Pro 360" offered a free trial and then you needed to cancel in order to avoid a monthly service charge.  Well we canceled and were told they do not issue confirmation numbers but assured us that we were canceled.  Then the service charges began.  The first month it was $59 odd dollars and we called the company and they apologized and said it would never happen again.  They said they couldn't give us a credit as it was against company policy.  So here comes the next month and the same exact thing...this time I went to our bank.  They said we should get a new debit card to assure they couldn't get any more money.  Can you imagine I am the one who needs to be inconvienenced because I wanted to check out a free trial.  Anyway we did change cards and then the charges stopped.  Our bank said in order to get the money back we would have to do an ACH dispute and that has been going on for the last 2 and 1/2 months.  They give us the money back that the company took and then they take it away because the company gives them some excuse why we are wrong and they are right.  Then We call the bank and scream and yell to get our money back and they give it to us and the cycle begins again!!! it's just not worth it.  I will never take another free trial because as the old saying goes...Gas, Grass or a*s...No-one rides for FREE
