USA Relocation Owing Mills, MD Worst Moving Experience Ever Owings Mills, Maryland

I contracted for a full-service move from Texas to South Carolina, including professional packing. What I received was anything but full service and professional packing. A list of my problems included:

• Packers did not show up on time or complete packing on time.
• Packers were unskilled; little packing paper was used to protect valuables.
• Packers did not remove all items from home, requiring another packer to return to the home nearly two weeks after the initial load out.
• Many items were left off the inventory.
• Extensive damage to larger, unpacked property during transit due to incompetence of packers and driver.
• Driver did not arrive at scheduled time; late in the day and then insisted on unloading until midnight.
• Load weight was grossly underestimated despite using the exact same inventory that other professional estimators used who performed in-home estimates.
• Damage to "professionally packed" items was extensive.
• USA Relocation was unresponsive to my complaints plus my complaint through the BBB.

The total paid out in the insurance claim was over $8,600 in damages. No care was taken in the packing of this property. Little, if any packing paper was used. Fragile, breakable items were recklessly dropped in boxes. Oversized wardrobe boxes were used to pack the kitchen items with perishable food items. Collectible glass and other fragile, heirloom items were recklessly put into boxes with NO packing materials. Items that possessed great sentimental value were maliciously destroyed. Even our own blankets were used in place of furniture pads.

I did not get what I paid for. The losses we've endured because of this company far exceed a dollar value. The emotional toll of seeing your heirlooms come out of boxes in pieces is still hard to accept.

Steer clear of this company. Don't fall for the low price; it will cost you in the end.
