i started buying our house in 1996. our first mortgae company was deuschte . i guess vanderbilt bought them out , because now we are paying vanderbilt . our original loan was for $50,000 on a doublewide mobile home . well , here we are twelve and a half years later and we still owe $45,457.70 . our interest rate is 10.9 . on a $474.61 monthly payment $76.19 goes to the principal $398.42 goes to interest . we called them about trying to work something out about paying our mortgage , because of my recent unemployment situation , they said call a church . they threatened us with foreclosure . years ago we called about this and we were told , as the years went by , more of our payment would go towards the principal . that doesn't seem to have kicked in yet .

we have recently considered refinancing. we didn't know about being able to refinance without the land until recently. i think they call it chattel . i guess we seem pretty stupid . well , we've learned a lot having this place . this is an oakwood home . it is a piece of crap,a money pit . the whole setup and everything with setting it up originally is so crooked ,i can't even begin to tell you everything in this e-mail . we really need help ,but just don't know where to start.
