Similar to Traci, from Dayton Virginia, I believe Verizon Virginia Inc. is trying to swindle people for money. In my case, I was told by KCA Financial Services (same company Traci spoke of) that I owed Verizon wireless roughly 314 dollars and that it was it collection. They claimed that they were trying to reach me for months. Well, I am in the navy and often out
to sea. Anyway, I argued my case and ended up just paying it to prevent legal action and thinking I could keep this off my credit report. However, it ended up there anyway. That was around 2003, if I remember correctly. Now here is where things get interesting. Nearly 9 years later, Northland Group Inc. (a collection agency) sends me a letter stating that I owe Verizon Virginia Inc. $314.31 but they will settle the account for $157.14 Funny right. Well I gave them a call and they would not tell me anything about the account without my social security number. Which, I would not provide. And when I mention a lawyer, they hung up on me. So next, I called Verizon Wireless and they said they know nothing about any collection. And I did a little research, Verizon Virginia Inc. supposedly is a phone service for home phones not
cellular service. I will be calling Life Lock first thing when I get home tomorrow.

I have the same problem with Verizon and have spoken to several others here in the Richmond, VA area. I saw that they were overcharging me and called. Their customer service rep went over all charges and payments onmy account step by step since the very beginning and her comment was "It lookis like we owe you about $367!" The same amount that I had found. She transferred me to the financial dept. saying that they would be the ones to send the refund or credit. I fought with them, sent them proof,have a file about an inch thick, I reported to the BBB, the attorny general's office (They contacted them and wrote them a letter) to no avail. To add insult to injury, they started sending me bills for the same amount they owe me!!!! I've been fighting them for about 4 years on this!!!!
