My NIGHTMARE with Verizon actually began about a year ago when I started having problem with FIOS TV and internet. I was calling 1 to 2 times a week over an eight week period before they came in a replaced the wireless router. I moved recently and that is another NIGHTMARE. They gave me a new phone number and didn't bother to tell me what it was. I had a roommate at my other place and she wanted me to leave the service on and that's what screwed up the phone. After demanding that they cut off my service at the other place IMMEDIATELY. Well I lost my email even though I had DSL at my new place which I thought I canceled when I told them to terminate service at the old place. Bright House came in and installed cable and Road Runner.

Now for TWO months I'm thinking I have ONE ISP not TWO. Got my first bill for my new place: Nearly $400. They charged me a $199 termination fee for cancelling my FIOS bundle even though FIOS was not available where I moved to. I was on the phone with them for TWO HOURS and transferred to FIVE different people! I asked about the DSL which I thought I had cancelled. Because I did not terminate within the 1st 30 days of service there was going to be a $79 termination fee. Next I had to talk to the "cancellation" department to cancel the service. I got my bill for this month and yes the DSL termination fee was on there along with a Verizon Security early termination fee of 59.99. I was livid to say the least. They never told me that I had to pay a 2nd termination fee. These people are trying to ROB ME BLIND and I am done with them.

I have been a loyal phone customer for years. I originally had GTE and stayed with the company when they became Verizon. I called back later and asked if there was a termination fee for their Freedom Essentials phone service which I am paying $70 a month for once you add all of the taxes and other fees. Now I was told that there would be no termination fee if I cancelled my Freedom Essentials phone package. I don't trust these snakes. I flat out told them that I WILL file a complaint with the Florida attorney general's office. Until then I will pay everything but the termination fees.
