I am furious and seem to be unable to get this problem resolved fairly. In 2003 or 2004 I owned a home in NJ. It was a rental/vacation home. That year I ordered a trial wireless Internet service. I was not sure it would work well and needed to try it before committing to the service. verizon had a trial perIod. I was very clear that it would have to arrive during the week I was there to open the house for summer rentals.
The equipment never arrived because they sent it to the wrong address. when it did not arrived in time I had Verizon remove all charges which they agreed to do. Subsequent bills however began to show a balance or over $100. It took some effort but finally I was able to get the charges removed. The problem was the Internet dept was not in communication with the phone dept. I will never forget the words of the person in accounting " oh I see, the equipment was returned and the fee for not terminating wano still charged. " it was such a relief to have them figure it out! That was 2004.
I sold the property in 2007.. In 2009 I received a bill again and had to spend hours on the phone once again before they figured it out. NOW A COLLECTION AGENCY is after me in 2013 for the same bill again! I just threw away all of those records 3 weeks ago!!! Now the rude collection agency is like a broken record trying to get me to pay. They don't care! I called Verizon and they say it wasn't paid! It's $150 I refuse to pay/ can't pay!!!
