This company engaged my services to remove noise and improve clarity and inteligibility of the audio in one of their video productions. I provided them with a short indicative sample of what I could do with their video to improve its audio quality. They expressed their satisfaction with my work, and agreed to pay me to apply my skills to clean up the entire video.
After I completed the work, they requested to hear it before remitting payment, and suggested that I send them a watermarked copy for review. I sent them the completed work with audio watermark (a periodic beep).
They failed to communicate further with me, despite sending them several messages, and they did not respond to subsequent requests for payment that, if supplied, would allow me to provide a link to a non-watermarked copy of the completed work.

For the record, the person who filed this complaint (Howard Fredrics) was polite and friendly when we resolved the issue. The payment in question was $25 dollars total, but even though it is a very small amount the principle behind these exchanges is what is important.
I intially wanted to dispute this because I viewed it as a miscommunication on goods delivered, but ultimately I believe small businesses thrive if we support each other and focus on growth instead of conflict.
