My friend had ordered Vista Print's offer of free business cards paying only the shipping charges. She received them with no problem.
A few months later I ordered some business cards for myself, using my friend's debit card to pay for shipping (with her permission of course).
Now my friend's checking account has overdrafts because Vista Print said I signed up for Shopping Essentials and Passport to Fun, charging $14.95 several times for them. I had never heard of these services and did not order, or want, them.
Upon calling Vista Print I told the service representative supervisor that I did not order, nor do I want these added services. He immediately said he would refund the $14.95 charges. I told him there were also bank overdraft charges and he said they would take care of those also. I then gave the phone to my friend and she gave the supervisor, Lou I.D.# 26181, the pertinent information. Vista Print agreed to refund the $14.95 (x3) and also take care of the bank overdraft charges of $105.00 (3x$35).Two of these repeated $14.95 charges were for Shopping Essentials and one was for the Discount Fun Club (Passport to Fun).
If my friend had not got the notice of an overdraft from her bank, I am almost positive Vista Print, et. al, would have continued to make these charges. As of now we are not so sure they intend to refund the agreed amounts noted above. Also
We are not quite sure if Vista Print is affiliated with Pasport to Fun or Shopping Essentials. There is also concern that there might other fees or charges for more unwanted products and/or services in the future. This concern grows because Lou had said if I looked on their web page it would show that I ordered the afore mentioned products/services. I visited their site and under order history, it showed we ordered the business cards, but nothing else. My friend searched their site thoroughly, looking for Passport to Fun or Shopping essentials and could not find either.
