Voice Vox Unauthorized institution of service in my name without my permission Internet

Voice Vox appeared on my phone bill with a charge of $14.95. I did not know what it was so called my phone company (Frontier). They said it was for an 800 number. They insisted that it had been ordered by me and gave my name, address, and password of my mother's maiden name all of which were correct. I said that I had not ordered this service.

They agreed to reimburse me for the charges made from beginning of the year (3 months). I will be watching my next bill to see if this happens. When I asked the customer service representative for the 800 number they wouldn't give it to me saying it was personal information. They insisted I'd been the one to request the service and yet would not give me the number.

Because my husband's S.S. # had been used fraudently 6 weeks after he died to open charge accounts I was afraid that this might be connected somehow. I am curious why my name was chosen to instigate the service.
