The Ozark Trails queen air bed is a POS. Walmart has a cruddy 15-day return policy and won't take it back, even with a receipt. Beware, if it's a low price at Walmart, it's junk.

Used it twice, first time it seemed ok. Stored it in my basement for 30 days, then used it again. It deflated within about 4 hours. This is junk.

And Walmart knows it's junk, thus the 15-day policy.

Policy in plain site

AUTHOR: Walmart Proud - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 15, 2009

The policy on airbeds is posted in the department where the airbeds are sold as well as it is posted on the board at the service desk and on your receipt.  Policy states that it can be exchanged.  The policy is in place in order to keep our prices down.  People abuse the right to return items by using and abusing items and then returning them when they are done using them.  This is why there is a 15 day policy.

Over 70% of the items at a Walmart Store come from China, according to.....

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 22, 2009

many reports & articles that you can find on the web. China produces TAINTED BABY FORMULA that has KILLED Chinese children. China produces toys with LEAD-BASED PAINT that is TOXIC. China produces CHEAP goods that are inexpensive because of the LOW QUALITY, & the low wages that Chinese companies pay their employees. China is a country that has the ability to produce quality goods, but quality goods are more expensive & Walmart wants to sell CHEAP GOODS, & pay its employees LOW WAGES just like the Chinese companies.

*WALMART is quite similar to K-MART, and we all know that K-MART's quality is exactly that- 'K-MART' QUAILTY.

Welcome to America- ONE GIANT WALMART, with K-MART quality!

Policy Clearly Posted

AUTHOR: Sdw - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 21, 2009

The policy for air-bed returns is clearly posted, near the air-beds, and prints on the bottom of an air-bed receipt. It explains that, if you miss the 15 day window, you can exchange it for the exact same thing, within 90 days of your purchase.

The fifteen day policy has nothing to do with the quality of the air-bed. The policy is in place, because people would buy them, use them, then return them when they no longer needed them. It's in place to control our costs, and keep prices lower for you and our other customers.

"Beware, if it's a low price at Walmart, it's junk."

Not true at all. Most of our low priced items are a great value, and if one does turn out to be junky we stop selling it.

There are some things stores will just not take back

AUTHOR: Constance - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 12, 2009
Air Mattresses and Airbeds: Unopened items may be returned for refund or exchange within 15 days. Opened items with receipt may be exchanged for same item or credited towards one of equal or greater value within 15 days....

Air mattresses and Airbeds are one of those things that if you set it even on a carpeted floor and there is one tiny tiny thing on that floor and you happen to sit/lay on it where that teeny pebble or whatever is, you might end up with a puncture...one you might not even see or know about. Try buying an Aerobed at over $100 and having it do this in less than a week. It is not the fault of Wal-Mart nor the manufacturer. If the airbed does not have a "velour" type covering, inflate it and lay it or submerse part of it in a bathtub or swimming pool. If you see bubbles anywhere, you have a hole. Some deflate when they are not inflated properly,do not have the cap on properly or have too much weight on them.

I do not work for Wal-Mart or any other department store...but I am a military wife who has had to move many times and who bought TONS of air mattresses over the years.
