In June of 2011 I contacted Watchbrokers.com via their website to inquire about their brokerage services. I was looking for a reputable company to broker my ladie's Rolex. Due to the current status of today's economy, I was looking to get the best price I could.
Within a day, a representative of Watchbrokers named Kelvin Mcquilkin, contacted me via telephone. After many phone calls and emails, I felt comfortable enough to use Watchbrokers prepaid FedEx label and send my watch in for brokerage. Watchbrokers also paid for the isurance on shipping and in writing provided documentation that anytime before the sale of my watch, I could ask it to be cancelled and have watch returned to me.
Two weeks went by and I never hear a word from Kelvin, or anyone at Watchbrokers. I found this odd as prior to me sending the watch, Kelvin emailed/called daily. Kelvin quoted the turn around time to sell was generally 2 weeks with payment within about another 2 weeks. I emailed Kelvin inquirying why I had not yet received any offers. I was told there had been problems with the website, etc., etc. Again, another week, no word from anyone. I then emailed at least 3 times. The fourth time I stated I would seek legal counsel if I did not get a response.
Eric Toso, "Senior Broker" at Watchbrokers responded to this with a voicemail. Toso stated McQuilkin was no longer employed there and he would handle my account.
Eric Toso was quite attentive to responding to any questions I would email. Again, met up with communication errors regarding offers/counter offers, yet he assured me it was being handled.
On November 16th I accepted an offer of $1,850.00. Eric Toso confirmed the sale. Toso told me to expect payment via check within 30 to 45 days. I emailed over a week ago stating it was well past the time frame when could I expect payment? Toso left a voicemail stating "A.P. had indeed received payment and that may even contact me within a day or two. Toso went on to say, if I had not received payment by the 1st of January to contact him.
I have not received payment. I have emailed and called several times. I have received absolutely no response. I have pushed every number in Watchbrokers directory of departments and get a voicemail at every single one.
Watcbrokers/Eric Toso has had my watch since August. I have not received one dime and now I am quite obviously being avoided.
