Waterstone Mortgage Delaying closing by requesting documentation,multiple times, saying that they didn't receive it, other requests as well that could have been asked earlier Woodbury, Minnesota Nationwide

We were led to believe if we just followed a few simple steps, our mortgage would have a good chance for approval.  We had set a tentative closing date in November, as our initial visit in September was time enough to take care of needed items and paperwork.,November came and went all along this time we were bombarded with requests for documentation.  Fine. we submitted the documentation as requested.  Conveniently for them, the "Underwriter" asked for even more documentation, letters of explanation, and more documentation, even documents we had already sent to them.  December came and went after a closing date of December 15th had been set. Well, guess what. The "Underwriter" needed more documentation.  Again, same documents some for the 3rd time.  Set a closing date for January 15th and more docuentation was needed, This whole time we were told we may not get the loan approval.  We were told at that point, that because we had delayed the closing, that we were to pay an additional amount in order to close on January 15th and we would have to prove that we had the down payment wired to the company before we could sign any papers. We had to scramble and scrounge to come up with the additional fees that they had tacked on.  To top it all off, not one single representative from that company bothered to take time out of their day to attend the closing.  It was done by the clerk at the Title office in town.
