waterworld pools don/owner, ineffective repairs hammonton, New Jersey

We purchased a 16'x32' fiberglass pool from waterworld pools inc in mid-2002//it was installed by that company for an additional $3,500.00..(total cost $18,900)they had three of their "best" people do the excavation and a fourth person helped set it in place and do the plumbing hook-up.

They used an electronic laserlevel to set the pool.they actually just hit the test button on it to make it appear to be level.one side of the pool is warped and is actually approx.3" lower than the other.having been told that the pool was perfectly level(the corners were pretty close) i poured concrete around the pool and that is when the warp became evident.

Al Talman(owner at that time) sent a crew to repair the warp.the technition,named Christmas,told me that the pool was warped because the frame they used to form the pool was old and warped.they "fixed" it by screwing pieces of 2x4 to the low spot and then putting a fiberglass veneer over that.they also used several other types of wood of varying thickness to feather the repair out.they also used Bondo to fill in the gaps.

the "repair"has failed in many places.there are numerous cracks(over 30) in the repairs.some of the surfaces are dangerously pitched.they left my yard in a total mess.sanding discs in the pool and thrown about. Bondo and fiberglass resin spilled into the pool and onto the concrete around it.

the present owner,Don Talman says that the pool failed becausev i poured the concrete wrong.the concrete has nothing to do with a warped pool right from the factory.he refuse to do anything until i remove the concrete.i find that unsatisfactory.
