This website charges customers for bidding.  In other words, lets say you bid on a laptop, and cast away 10 bids in the process.  Each bid costs you 75 cents.  Thus, you just paid $7.50 (US).  If you actually placed the winning bid of $1000, congratulations!  Now you will pay an additional $1000 to obtain the laptop in addition to the 7.50, PLUS any fees applicable to you.

This essentially, turns the company into a casino, in that it is providing the user with nothing but a CHANCE to MAYBE win an auction, which they must then pay additional money to receive the item.

Unlike warehouse club stores, this fee is NOT nominal (a trivial sum of $10 or 25 for using all services), nor is it a membership fee--as fees are charged on a transaction basis.

Hence, the user is gambling on the chance that they MAY win the auction, thus giving them the right to purchase the end item.

Such websites are unusual, as they are blatantly NOT in the consumer's own interest, and there is NO oversight for the company shill bidding users. (Shill bidding is when a party bids on an auction that they, or an affiliated party, is involved in selling.  Hence, a Wavee employee with no intention to pay for an item, logs in, bidding on every item, driving the price up, AND forcing other users to buy more bids.)

Whether this site is a licensed auctioneer in ANY state, it most certainly is NOT: there is no indication of licensing in the About page, nor under How it Works.

This site is JUST LIKE BIDCACTUS, which has been maligned by customers for years, most alleging shill bidding activity.

This is the year 2010... why would anyone pay for the right to bid?
