I live in Midland County and pay child support to wayne co. foc. I'm not in arrears and I don't mind supporting my child and her drug using mother (Jessica Osowski...or Jessica Joseph). I'm unemployed, looking very hard for work, living off a settlement which is $1,025.00 a month. FOC takes $360.00 a month...every month. The $360.00 was based on me making $18.00 an hour eight years ago. I feel this should easily be adjusted without the help of a money w***e attorney. It's not that simple as you all should know.
I'm driving downtown tomorrow (3/28/07) in a desperate attempt to have this corrected to a fair amount. If they give me a hard time...which they will, you can look for me on the news. I have nothing, zero, ziltch to loose and I will make a statement. Those f***s like to use the line,"I'm just doing me job". Bull s** and I hope for their sake, the have the day off. Why does our government let this happen, and push people like me to the end.

How to work with the Friend of the Court

Friend of the Court is an ENFORCEMENT Agency. They on Enforce orders that are sent down to them by the court. They do not have the authority to change an order, an amount, a visitation schedule, etc. without a signed Judgement from the presiding Judge.
Therefore, if you are wanting your support lowered based on your current income, it is YOUR responsiblity to get your Judgement changed, either thru an agreement between you & the ex, or by filing a petition. You dont have to pay your attorney to file a petition. Petitions can be filed "Pro Per" which means on your own.
