Weatherby Healthcare Weatherby Locums False advertising Fort Lauderdale Nationwide

I’m a mid-career physician that used to run his own practice.  I received a phone call from a Weatherby recruiter several months ago, and got sold on her idea of closing my practice and working locums three quarters of the month and spending the remaining quarter with my family all while making MORE money than I was with my current practice.  Foolish me, I fell for the scam. 

My first assignment got cancelled and it took her 2 months to find me a new position.  I still gave them Weatherby Healthcare a chance but my shifts were getting cut more and more because other firms were getting competitive doctors in at cheaper rates for the hospital my recruiter told me.  I asked the competing doctors how they could afford to work at such low rates and to my surprise they were making MORE than I was getting from Weatherby.  TOTAL sham, Weatherby had to be making a killing off me!  I fired Weatherby, starting working with their competitors and had much better success.  I still wasn’t making anywhere near the MGMA average so I ultimately signed a contract to work with a hospital as an employee.  Much happier now.  Please don’t think Weatherby can offer you a career.  They at best can bridge a gap between real jobs at a much lower rate than other locums firms.
