Web Exposure describes their service- to put your business on Google Maps as if it is available for only a limited time to a small number of similar businesses per area. As if using their service is the way one can be registered on Google Maps. Though they may not have said it, it was inferred that this was the way (the only way) to do so. Their fee, for what Google offers free was $125 in my case, now $150.
I received a phone call from a woman named Jill promoting advertising online by WebXpress. I asked how they found my business, since I had closed my office. My business was among several offices that had gone under.
Initially hesitant, I was persuaded that this offer was only available for a limited time to a very small amount of businesses (not true!). I had been thinking about finding a new location and reopening, and because the rate is not high in terms of advertizing, impulsively agreed. Soon after, I reconsidered. Not having a physical office address made the decision to advertise seem foolish. I attempted to contact Google to cancel but could not find a way to do so.
After receiving my charge card statement which had the Web Xposure phone#, I called Richard Paul to cancel the service. He agreed it was very difficult to contact Google directly, though he implied that he could do so. He agreed to cancel saying that he would do it for me and issue a refund based on learning what Google's fee was.
After waiting several days to hear from him, I went online again to see if following the registration instructions might enable me to cancel it myself. I then discovered the service is free! There is no fee from Google, to create a map spot, so there is no fee to cancel, either. In addition my pin # would not work.
I strongly advise against using WebXposure.
This service is not as described. It is not an exclusive offer. In addition:
1) Mr Paul did not issue a refund as promised.
2) They must have a cancelation policy and inform their customers what that policy is.
3) the pin # to enter the account did not work when I tried it.
