Welcome Wagon Welcome Wagon Selling Out Their Name to Marketers Coral Springs Florida

I received a postcard in the mail with the Welcome Wagon logo on it.  The postcard stated that they were unable to contact me, and had a free gift waiting for me as a new homeowner.  I was asked to call them at an 800 number.  This was the only information on the postcard. 

When the phone was answered, no company name was given.  After a brief 'welcome to your new home, are you getting settled in?' and a few seemingly unrelated questions, I was told that I didn't qualify for the free gift because I already have a water softener, and then I was abruptly hung up on.  What??  I didn't qualify?  Was this really Welcome Wagon?  No, it wasn't. 

It seems that for a fee, marketers can present themselves under the guise of Welcome Wagon.  They do not need to identify themselves nor do they need to mention that they are simply selling something.  The Welcome Wagon ploy is just a way to get people to call them so that they can sell their product.  What a sellout on the part of Welcome Wagon!
