a twist on the other complaints. I have NOT been served or notified in any way but my bank account is frozen. my mortgage, utilities and health insurance are set up on auto withdrawal, so guess what happens now.

this company froze my checking account with NO court date, no hearing, nothing. the original debt is a 6 year old credit card with LESS than $300 charged on it. yes i should have paid it. but how can these people freeze my account with NO notice?

I would call these people up and tell them flat out you have no right to freeze my bank account. Either you infreeze it or I will call the FTC or the DA . Talk to a lawyer about this and ask him to write a letter stating this collections agency has 30 days to unfreeze your bank account or there will be legal action against them
