I discussed via email and phone a price for a new Altima. Was asked to come in . I went in with my husband. Initially everything looked good - the car looked great and the negotiated price for the altima - 21, 500 satisfied us. the problem started when we asked for a out the door itemixed price. The original salesman we had been talking to left, and a general manager came in. The out the door price had all sorts of dealer fees added on it. When we trie dto ask about them, the GM got very rude and sarcastic saying that the almost 1600$ in dealer fees were all " DMV fees". This was not counting the tag title and registration fees. after a few minutes, we understood that they were using bad sales tactics and trying to rip us of in fees. so we left and took our business to another dealership that charged us the same for our car and only 99$ in dealer handling fees! what a saving!

You did EXACTLY the right things. You read the paperwork and you did not fall for the Bogus, Add-On, Phoney Fee CON-GAME! You were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
They fully expected you to play doormat...to not read the paperwork, to voluntarily submit yourself to them as this year's sucker! That's why the Sleazy American Car Business gets away with these congames...because so-o-o many people come in the doors, ready, willing and able to play doormat. But NOT YOU!
You were fantasic and your spouse NEEDS to be very proud of you!
