West Lake Financial Ripoff and fraudulent promises Los Angeles California

I financed a vehicle two years ago through Westlake Financial and a few months later was in a car accident. The vehicle was in the shop for repairs and I was no more than 30 days late on my monthly payment. They went to the reapir / collision center in Charlotte, NC and repossessed the vehicle, w/ out my knowledge and w/ out any notification. When I went to pick up the vehicle, I was told that it had been taken. I contacted Westlake as to the whereabouts of the vehicle and I was not told. They insisted that I Western Union them the payment,which was only a day or two late, and I did so. I then contacted Westlake with the confirmation number from Wester Union and was tossed around by their customer service personnel. I finally got a manager who told me that I could pick up the vehicle and could not tell me the whereabouts. He said he needed time to get with the repo company. I called Westlake back a couple of days later and spoke with another manager who told me that the vehicle had been sent and auctioned off. They then tried to work a deal to finance me on another vehicle, where I would have had to pay another down payment. I declined on the deal and tried to get my lawyer to open a case with them, and he stated that it would be a waste of time and very costly. I felt I was scammed into making the payment and thinking that Westlake would have the repo company return my vehicle. I never got the vehicle back, and they actually had the audacity to want me to continue to pay the vehicle off. Again, I was not informed of the repo nor auction of the vehicle, even after I made current my monthly payments.
