Well a few month ago me and my husband went to west valley auto plaza to trade in our dodge for a full size truck. They "pulled" our credit.... and said they got us approved threw two diffrent places. but then they said but it has to be 2006 or newer with less then 60k miles on it and it had to be under 6k... ya like that would happen they just said they cause they know it would never happen.
So i didnt know until i recently went some where else and they did run my credit and show me my report and on my inquaries west valley auto plaza never even ran my credit! then lied to us and said we were approved in stead of just saying im sorry there is nothing we can do here for you i am sorry they make this use bull s**t story up. they are a bunch of frauds and liars. they are what make people think of sales men are scum. they will be hearing from our lawyer. DO NOT GO TO WEST VALLEY AUTO PLAZA EVER!

#1 Consumer Suggestion
This happen to me too
AUTHOR: Dotty - (U.S.A.)

To make a long story short, the same basic thing happen to me. They called me and said "we have found two lenders that will work with you", so I go in. First thing they want to do is get all my info again. I was looking for a specific car. I told them we could discuss financing later, when and I found a car I wanted for the price I wanted. I find the make/model and then we talk price. I got them down $2000, so I said lets see what the financing terms are.
They came baxk with two options:
a) put down $4700 and get financed yourself or
b) get a co-signer, put $200 down
Honestly, I make a good amount of money, so I could have paid cash for the entire car, but I decided I rather save that money for a down on a house next year abd make a years worth of payments to help rebuild my credit I destroyed during my college years. Nevertheless, I know both of my parents have a 750+ credit score and they would cosign anything for me.
So I ask my mother and she says sure. i expected them to fax her something for a release to check her credit or at least talk to her. They don't, but they take her info from me without question. They came back and said "that is the highest credit score we have seen" We got you approved for the loan at 6.5%.
So at this point I am still considering rather I should buy a jeep cash or take them up on this 6.5% (which is not bad for me, but honestly my mom can get 4.25% on a loan)
I filled out what appeared to be a loan agreement. (of course they tried to throw in their crappy warranty for $1500 and GAP for $700) I denied it.
Then I questioned them "are you going to have my mom sign something? Do you want to at least talk to her?" They replied "we will overnight this to her" Then this "cowboy" person says sign this in case we cannot get the CU to approve you then you will accept the term as a TPO (title purposes only) I said "I am not signing that! I will only get this car, if I am on the loan and she is a cosigner ONLY" He proclaimed that is fine we already have you approved anyway.
I felt uneasy then, but I thought surely they don;t just people leave with a car they cannot get their money for. So my mom never gets anything in the mail, but I get a phone call later. "we cannot get you approved on the loan, but your mom is approved"
I said WHAT? OK done deal; I will bring it back today because I was never given an option c) Have your mommy buy the car for you.
So I tale it back and I get there and the cow boy comes back over and says "I found a different lender willing to put you on the loan" and we will gibe you I said nah, i aam good; keep the car. So he says "I can come down $1100 on the car, if you agree to give us another chance" well, money talks, so I said fine "as long as she is JUST a cosigner"
Days pass...
I get a message...
We got you on the title, but your mom is the only one on the loan blah blah I will post a wave file of all their voice mails later. At this point it seems they are scamming people with not so good credit in to finding someone with good credit and then just trying to push the loan through in the unsuspecting trust so called "cosigner's" name. I told them to quit wasting my time. I dropped the car off. Then they said you owe us for mileage and a restocking fee. In not such nice words I told them they could restock my foot up their you know what. 90% the miles were from me driving back and forth to them.
I told them that was BS and walked out.
OK so this is a long story.
Anyway, I am angry and I feel like I was defrauded.
I am filing a report with the bbb (that does work) and I am demanding my $200 down back.
Furthermore, I am filing a complaint with the attorney general for unethical practices, so I encourage everyone else to do the same.
Anyway, if they could not do anything reasonable for me (I make over 100,000/yr and had a cosigner with a 780 credit score) be weary that they will do what they say for you. AND do not leave the lot until you talk to the so called lender.
It is a complete scam.
