On November 18, 2009, I inquired about a personal loan - due to the fact that I had cancer and needed to clear up some outstanding medical bills.  I was excited to hear from Ms. Jody Leeman on Friday, November 20, 2009, that I was approved for the loan and she would be faxing the documents for me to review.  She did state that due to my credit risk that I would need to secure the loan with paying the first 6 months up front as collateral - then I wouldn't have to make a payment until June 2010.  I was happy that I was given a chance to catch up on some bills, so I borrowed the 930 from my husband and Western Unioned it to a Kathleen McKennon in OntarioCanada on Monday November 23, 2009 at 9:25 a.m.  I called Ms. Jody Leeman on Monday with the MICN number and told her that I was still a little leary and she assured me that by the latest the funds would be in my account by at the latest Wednesday the 25th (just in time to do some holiday shopping).  She said that there was the contract and there is no way that this is a scam.  On Tuesday, November 24,2009 at 9:15 a.m., I received a telephone call from a man at the Westchester Equity company stating that there is no way that the company can get insurance on the loan and that I would need to pay an additional 6 months collateral.  I told him there was no way of me coming up with the additional funds and I wanted my money back in 24 hours.  He then stated "obviously you didn't read section 9 of the loan", and it states that the loan company can ask for more money for collateral.  I told him that I was told that the money was there and that all I was told is that I just needed to pay the 6 months up front.  I again told him that I wanted my $1016 returned back to my account in 24 hours or I would be contacting the BB, ripoff website and the attorney general.  If I had the 12 months payments, I wouldn't be turning to them to give me a loan to help me get caught up.
