Westwood College Online ripoff Ripping off a ton of people and me Denver Colorado

Currently there are over 250 students in TX suing WW's parent company Alta Colleges. Complaints are pouring in across the country about WW and it's shady practices. We students are supported by former employees and instructors, and are represented by Van Wey and Johnson. In Dallas, contact them should you want more infomation on restitution for WW's lies.

I do believe I went to school with you online (if you went to WOL)your work was awesome. I graduated last year from this joke of a college with an Associate's degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia. It took me about 3 months to find a job, so I lucked out (the job did not require a college degree). Even though I paid $6k while in school, I still owe the school $10K and Sallie Mae $17K. So where are my Pell Grants that I supposedly recieved?

On top of everything, there was software that I never recieved and that I had to outright buy myself because the idiot book library could not get their acts together. Also, FINANCIAL AID IS A JOKE TIMES TEN! I have never experienced such lack of professionalism. I never could get a straight answer from any of those fools about anything concerning my account. They definately know what goverment loans are out there though.

So when I graduated the "college" I received my "diploma" and was informed that I still owe $10K to the college for "education expenses". Have I received a detailed list of these supposed "expenses".....NO! Only an invoice and many threats from a very unprofessional employee from the collections dept. to damage my credit, and ruin my life in general. One word, they are criminals and need to be put behind bars.

EVERYTHING that I have learned about design and development has about 10% westwood college online influence. I also had a 3D animation class and WOL gave me a temporary license for 3Ds Max 6 and a 3ds Max 5 book along with very crappy "streaming video" classroom "simulations". Once again, what I learned here was from sites outside of theirs. I COULD HAVE DONE THIS CRAP FOR FREE! NO COST!

This entire time, I thought that I was alone in my thinking, but I realize that I am not. I too feel as thought I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND FORCEFULLY MADE TO SIGN UP FOR SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT NECCESSARILY WANT TO SIGN UP FOR. I HOPE WESTWOOD COLLEGE SUFFERS BECAUSE I WILL NOT BE PAYING THEM A PENNY.

My name is Sandra. I actually graduated from westwood in Anaheim CA a year ago...and yeah...I'm still doing the same sh-tick I was doing two and a half years ago, which is in retail. I owe them over $60grand cuz I...being all stupid and stuff...went for the Bachelor's degree...ooohhhh big wooo.

What you can do is stop while you can, you're only gonna have to pay what you've gone to school for already, instead of me, finished and owe them everything. A couple of my classmates actually dropped out while they still could. And to be honest, they are doing better on their own than they would have staying at this crappy school. If not, you can stay and try to get a job afterwards. I tell you from experience, no one will hire you without any experience in the field. Tell me this, How the Hell am I suppose to gain any experience in the field if no one will hire me?!!!! But the school reps try to sugar coat it and say "being in a hands-on school IS experience". Yeah, tell that to the employers bastards!.

Well, for now I am still in search of a job in my field and will keep attempting untill I do so. I wish you the best.

It started with only a handful of students....and now over 250 former students in Texas are suing Alta Colleges (Westwood College)...Their suit is based "deceitful trades and practices", and they are supported in their case by former employees and teachers. The fact is, the corruption and immoral business practices of this school are system wide (in 6 states & on-line).

In order to seek retribution...join forces with current/former students and employees...there are many people who know what Westwood is a scam! Please consult with an fraud attorney and check your state laws to see what your educational/consumer rights are.
