I hunt con men.  Therefore, after reading about this SC company, I decided to check it out.  They did bribe me to come in.  No laptops, just dinner for 2, carriage ride or both.  Obviously its a sales pitch.  I sat through the 80's style time sharish pitch.  It was not high pressure.  I was amused at the buy today only pitch but it was explained they have invested quite a bit in my presence.  Lots of employees and I'm sure the building ain't cheap so I couldn't blame them for wanting my money "today".  After the presentation, I sat with a young lady who went through the program in detail with me and asked me where I liked to travel.  We went live on the internet to price  multiple condos and hotels.  It appeared I could make reservations at will and the prices were cheap.  At "closing time", I was give a "review" sheet to make sure I understood what they were selling, affirmed I could afford it, was told if I bought and walked out the door I could not get my money back.  They made certain that nothing was misrepresented by anyone.   I asked who owned the business and was told a guy from the "corporate" office was there and I was allowed to talk with him.  He did not hide and was very cordial.  When I said it wasn't for me, they made one last attempt to swing me but I politely said no.  They handed me my envelop with free gift for which I politely declined because I kind of conned them.  CONCLUSION:  No scam here.  Just an old school vacation club.  Based on what I've seen in the Time Share business its not a bad deal.  Compared to gypsy companies selling vacation clubs, this one at least maintains a long term physical presence and isn't hiding.  People may be pissed at their purchase but it is not because they were scammed.

They actually do hide, lie, misrepresent

In my case, last week I was told my Angie that we could cancel at anytime. Which is a lie.  They were offering a great rate of 2.99% for 7 months to finance and when I inquired as to the rate after 7 months she said she didn't know.  It is clearly stated in the paper workwe brought home  the rate is 19.99%, but not in the paperwork we were shown at the office.  Shouldn't a manager know all the details of the product they are selling?  Any reputable business would give you time make a decision and NOT make you pay in full before you leave.  A sound company should be able to afford their many employees and nice building without taking your money "today"!  Also, in my case I was told by Sam he would have to talk to the owner about cancelling our agreement and refunding our money.  Today is Thurs. and the oowner has been MIA since last Friday.  The only point of contact we can achieve is through the guy off the street who gave us his cell number.   The office number won't always connect but when it does you get an answering machine and you can forget about anyone returning your call.   Your report sounds like it was written by an employee of Wholesale Escapes, Wholesale Travel Connections, RSI or whatever name they are going by this week.  Funny how there are many complaints out there about there unethical practices but you somehow didn't experience that?
