Wiley Sanders Truck Lines damaged my truck and will not pay ripoff Troy Alabama

On 9/23/03 at 6:05 am I was hit in the left front finder and bumper by a Wiley Sanders Driver. While in the parking lot of choice brands in Manroe, LA. I turned in my claim to Wiley Sanders, truck line and took the necessary procedures in getting an estimate on getting my semi fixed.

I proceded to contact the Wiley Sanders truck lines concerning my claim. Each time I called to talk to company managment I was constantly told the person with whom I had talked to when I reported the accident was unavailable. Being an independent driver I felt it necessary to get my truck fixed so in order to get it fixed I took $5,000 of which the estimate was for repairing the truck. I paid for having my truck fixed out of my own pocket and my truck was in the repair shop for one week being repaired. During this time I lost apporxmately $3,000 because I had no way of hauling my product without a truck.

I sent my repair bills and a picture showing the damage done to my truck to wiley sanders trucking. They informed me that they wouldn't pay for any down time on my truck. They said that they would pay for the truck being fixed. I requested that they needed to pay down time as well, they said no. It has been a year today (9/23/04) I have yet to recieve any pay for fixing my own truck. I feel that they have taken advantage of the situation that occured because I am an independent truck driver, and have not the money to hire a lawyer to fight my case.

I would like to see this matter resolved. I think one year is more then enough time for them to do what is necessary. I have been out numerous phone calls to the company regaurding this matter. My trucking bank account has suffered greatly because of money lost due to this case. Please inform other independent drivers of Wiley Sanders reputation for trying to rip off small company's by not being responsible for there debts. Thank you
