I was on my scheduled time off beginning on 2-1-2002. I received permission by my fleet manager, and a store manager at the Dollar General Store parking lot on Congress and Massachussets in New Port Richey, Fl. My time was to make arrangements regarding my father being relocated to Florida from Michigan. Three days later, I was called at a friend's house by the store manager that my units were being towed.
A soon to be friend immediately rushed me there to stop this from happening. This company did not offer a Comcheck, nor did they deposit money into my account on my ComData card so that I can stop the units from being towed. They claimed not to have any money, and allowed my units to be towed. I lost over 1 grand worth of materials when it was towed.
With all said, I was terminated without a reason and was left stranded and homeless in a drug and psychotic area of NPR, FL. to which I stayed with a mentally disabled person until I won my appeal for unemployment. Since February, I have not been able to get another trucking job as they falsified my DAC report by saying that I resigned, Unauthorized use of vehicle, Unauthorized Location without notice, and Other. I since then disputed DAC, but nothing was changed on my report. Just as I am trying to get employed with USF, I now have to fight with Covenant and WERNER.
My TEUC has expired, and am facing homelessness. Please e-mail me for resources in the Northern-Central Florida area as I am now in Inglis.
