I am making report because a man was scouting for wannabe models in a small town, Karnes City, Texas 78118. My daughter was given a small card with information and a time to go for an interview. I looked for information on the internet in the badbusinessbureau.com
Marie Spears,VP of New Faces/aka: Wilhelmina Scouting Network,Joe-JWZ9915 was the one that gave my daughter the card. Most of the ripoff reports have been in Florida, etc. They must be trying to hitting other states and cities.
Thank God I did because there were about three girls down south in Texas.

Marie Spears is just a made up name. She doesn't exist. I think it's just a code name or something. The phone number on the car doesn't mean anything either. It's just a number that takes you straight to an answering machine.
If Marie Spears was someone, they would tell the scouts this when they first started. When asked about who she is, they just say "oh don't worry about her, she's the V.P. of New Faces and if someone asks you that just tell them who she is".
If a scout comes up to you just ask them how long they have been working there and if it's anything longer than 6-8 months then they are the brain washed people that think this company makes everyone a star.
If the scout has been working there for a short period of time just tell them that they should get out of there fast. I never had a job when they throw you out there in the middle of the street and expect you to scout people with absolutely no training. I guess that'st there way of "intensive training"
